Say, how does Pokopia compare to the Dragon Quest Builders games? it looks super mega similar :O
I have no idea, as I've never played Dragon Quest Builders... But I did think it was going to be a clunky rip-off of Animal Crossing with a pinch of Minecraft.
Turns out it has its own personality and feels super alive to me. I love the way every pokémon ability is used here to contribute to the environment I'm helping rebuild, and I can talk to them, play with them, watch them interact among themselves—sometimes with very interesting outcomes based on their types and abilities. They have different preferences, too, ranging from food to weather to decorations etc.
Expensive as hell but I'm very positively surprised and enchanted by it uwu
P.s. I did wish Bellsprout didn't litter all over the place with vine ropes. Not sure how no one has tripped on those yet before I go clean it all up

ee, that's the most important thing in a vidyogame :O
the mechanics do not matter so much, the important thing is that it is a game with HEART :O
and whimsy. and because they are pokémon it's furry whimsy, even! that is the best kind of whimsy :3
btw it's awesome that we furries have just pretty much stolen the pokémons and integrated them into the fandom, haha
also what do the rattatas do? I hope they gnaw on everything, and then pee a lot :P

Combee produces a lot of honey, which has many useful, uh, uses. For instance, if you give enough to Your Majesty the Vespiqueen, she'll give you more useful items in return. Always in that very regal manner, with the very posh British accent (I'm making this up, although I do imagine that whenever she speaks. ;P)
I'm a Ditto, by the way, TF'd into a human. That's why I have that pretty face.
These two have an... intriguing kinda rivalry. They love to compare horn sizes.
Right, it's all very furry, and they talk, and have emotions, and compare sizes, and all that :]
So far, I have found 32 pokémon, not yet a rattata. But there are roughly 300 in the game, so I shall see what they do eventually.

Hmm, apart from the Vespiqueen trade deals... you can use it to attract pokémon you've lost sight of. You can feed them honey if they like sweet flavors. Apparently it can be used when building things too.
So far, no salamanders (well, I did find a Charmander), skunkanders or rattanders xP nope. But I'm sure they're there, this game is huge, both in terms of how much you can build and creatures you may find
