Hi folks, I'm interested in listening to more furry music. I've listened to Ravepop by russelbuck, which I really like, as well as some of Femtanyl's stuff and am interested in Patricia Taxxon's stuff for its experimental nature. I watched Scar the Fur's vid on furry music history, and will def check out some of that music too.

I'm super interested if any of you have any furry music recs, especially in genres outside of EDM and stuff (tho don't get me wrong, I love that too! Just wondering if there's, for example, some furry dreampop somewhere).

There's Foxes And Peppers (Fox Amore and Pepper Coyote), Cassidy Civet, WHSPRS, When Snakes Sing, and I've Made Too Much Pasta.

They all cover a wide variety of genres..
Pepper Coyote is immediately what my mind went to when I saw this thread, actually...

Oh thanks Marius! I was always wondering if there was any Furry artists who did music outside of electronic music (not that that's a bad thing per say, I just prefer instruments)

O, I do some digital stuffs with a hint of World music :>

Xia Yu, Beyond the Warriors, Suco de Abacaxi, Anoitecer, Valsa Branca, Cintilar — if you're interested in anything outside EDM. Been composing on FL Studio since 2009 or so.

A mouse, a monitor, and a software to "draw" beats, melodies and harmonies note by note (plus VARIOUS virtual instrument plugins) :>

...and an extremely disorganized approach, as shown above in one unfinished FL Studio project.

Funny you mention that because I started out remixing video game music on OC ReMix :>

That's awesome Guifrog :3 man you're talented for sure! Art and Music! Is there any way to present such music live? Like a DJ? I have no idea about electronic music tbh ^^; My dream was always a band.

And the Mess is normal xD

I've been trying for the better half of the year to record music and get something going. I've got a few in the pipeline, but can never get them quite finished because I have to write and play all the instruments myself. I'm getting there though, but I really wish I could present it here already :(

Also I want to add even more Furriness to my music :3

People would probably think I'm pranking them if I DJ with music like Xia Yu, Suco de Abacaxi etc. xP But personally, I just like to create; am too reserved to perform, even I did learn a bit of drums and keyboard as a kid. I don't know much about presenting such music live, either, but then there is Yanni, who performs with an orchestra filled by artists of different nationalities playing traditional instruments.

On the other hand, my music is all free to download and use in projects, events, background for public places and such. If you ever visit Fort la Latte in France, you're likely to hear Beyond the Warriors being played there :>

And yes! I, too, kinda have had this idea for a furry World/Electronic hybrid album that's frog-themed, about hallucinogenic frog thoughts, mixing in Brazilian rhythms like samba, forró, axé, frevo and the likes into a weird smorgasbord of songs. However, PROCRASTINATION. Ain't it our best "friend"?!

You can always use SoundCloud or similar platforms if you ever manage to finish your works, and then show it here! I'd love to hear some more variety from the furry music scene, too.

Hahaha :D yeah I guess it's not necessary the kind of music you'd hear at a Rave, fair fair!

Hahaha xD really? Oh man I kind of want to go to Fort La Latte now. That' so cool ^w^ even if most people will possibly never know a Frog from Brazil made it. I'm glad you're so free doing that.

Awww! You cooooould just make a song with maybe one of the Brazilian rhythms and see how it goes, learn a bit and then get into the Album :3 I feel like step by step is best because you get more efficient and then the bigger projects seem less daunting.

I too have a written a song using a Brazilian Rhythm :D It's about the Boogey Man "El Coco" and how Parents use him to instil fear into children to make them behave. Kind of as a way to refelct on the fears my own parents infused into me (if on purpose or through their beliefs). I'll certainly try and record that one. I based it around a Coco de Roda beat. This songs rhythm in particular was a huge influence:

Don't worry Guifrog :3 I get this odd feeling of terror if I don't make music for too long. I will finish them! I'm pretty close with a few songs! And I will share them here ^w^ Atm they're not all furry, but some have furry themes, like a Bear playing Piano or Neurodiverse Romance.

WTF, dude??!! This is very specific music of where I'm from :O

Color me flabbergasted here, I have no idea how you managed to find this, but I love that you got inspired to incorporate it into a song of yours!

👉👈 UwU oooooh I'm just a bit of a neeeeerd Guifrog.

Haha I love all kinds of world music too :3 This is actually a huge coincidence because the actual inspiration for the song came form a Goya' painting:

And I was looking through some latin rhythms to find a fitting one for the song and saw "Coco de Roda" and thought:
"Oooooh! It's in the naaaaame!"

So I had a listen to that Album I sent there above and fell in love with the music <3 Sadly the song itself isn't as uplifting xD but man, the energy! I hope I can make the rhythm section justice once I get around to it :3
