Nowadays it seems like media is mostly adhering to established tropes and types, with maybe one or two deviations from the norm that they try to justify their whole existence on :O

I recall liking Tentomon, which might be ironic since it is an insectoid. It was polite in such a silly way, but grounded, whereas its human partner I cannot recall the name right now (Izzy, just searched it) could get very easily immersed in lots of data and forget about the rest.
I think part of my fondness of it might be very well linked to how RL me has always been extremely fascinated with computer tech and the sense of immersion in different worlds it enables through its 0s and 1s. So I can kinda imagine that I'd find a second 'older brother' in Tentomon if it was part of the family

Why is it ironic? Insectoid creatures are very cool! Oooooooo, right, because you're a frog, and he's an insect, and... yeah xP Yesyes, I remember him too even if not by name, he was a lot into computers hehehehe!
And I get this too! That's why I liked Digimon soooo much, especially Tamers! But heck yeah, Tentomon and further evolutions are awesome!
