2026 Gaming Goals!

_ I wanna fully finish all story chapters from start to the current latest expansion I have (that is, Janthirs Wild) in Guild Wars 2 for my Warrior, Engineer and Necromancer, instead of just leaving unifnished story chapters there, it's kind of bugging me. Also, these 3 are my best classes of the game.
Change of plan... and this is gonna sound nuts.

I'm honestly thinking of recovering and salvaging all items and equipment of my characters (the ones not bound to them), tehn DELETING all of them. After that, I start my account anew, with a warrior, an engineer and a necromancer, and that's probably it.

Why on earth would I go through so much trouble to do that (and waste so much money spent on all the bag slots I've opened for them, too) ? Because, in this game, once you start a story mission, if you quit halfway through, it remains there waiting for you to continue later. Personally, I honestly don't have the patience or interest to continue them, but at the same time it's bugging me seeing those story missions being unfinished and waiting for me to pick up again. Kind of like quest logs remaining in your journal, never finished and can't be removed. I'm gonna finish the full quest line of the main game, but afterwards I'm NOT touching any story missions of the DLCs.

Before this, however, I need to grind for unbound magic (currency) to buy travel tomes for Living World season 3 areas...

Now, why do I go with only those three classes ? Because I just can't figure out how to play the others as good as I want. I can't figure out their 'style', so to speak. The three classes I mentioned, they all have good crowd-control. Additionally : warrior is good at raw damage and immune to crowd-control, engineer good with raw damage, damage-over-time and combo fields, necromancer can survive very well with health-stealing or damage-over-time. But, for other classes, I can't figure out the build for their damage to be as good, and I also just can't figure out their 'style' to play. I'm not really feeling it with them, honestly. So, I don't wanna invest on them. Three are good enough for me.

I'm also having to amend one of the things I said, I'm hoping to be well past Pluto as I need to reach Sedna to get the Saryn frame on my wishlist and that's two planets after Pluto so i got a ways to go lol. I at least beat the Natah mission finally but leave it to Warframe to throw me a curve ball..I need to find a clan to get the Volt warframe and by extension get Volt parts to make Warframe Chroma. Getting to Sedna going to be a while but hey I might make it

Oof. I'd planned to continue Brok and Mewgenics this week, but aside from dealing with storms (which I think is going to ease up for the rest of this winter) there's been something else.

Warframe I've been catching up on Nightwaves and trying to get the more recent items in the Prime rotation. I'm about 3-4 weeks behind on Nightwaves but more about that in the dedicated thread.

Party Animals... Party Animals has its Year of the Horse event. Not only do they have a horse character in the game (named "Roach", for some reason), it's another one of those "free Battle Pass" things like they did when they introduced Infection mode and their Cthulhu character (which they named "2662"). Which pretty much means daily play in order to get everything in the pass before time's up. It also means I'm generally restricted to specific characters as Party Animals uses a "category" system for its daily and weekly challenges - whether the animal is fluffy, can fly, can dive, lays eggs, what its diet is... I don't remember if there's any other categories.

"IT'S GAIN-ZILLA! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!"

Usually when I secured enough Gains in GET YOKED to beat the last competition, I'd get dire warnings or medical advice as the sign I can stop. Imagine my surprise when I got over 2400 Gains on the Leg-end deck and received THAT message. (You can actually continue for a high score after any of those messages, I just chose not to.)

Leg-End was the final of the 5 core decks in the itch.io version that I needed to conquer. If I go back to that game before any updates I'm probably doing the Choose 10 mode.

I also finally beat Clurichaun in Hungry Horrors, and seem to have unlocked all the recipes available to this point, meaning there's not really anything for me to do besides test every dish against every monster and continue piling up Scrolls. Yeah, not gonna do that.

On the other hand, Monster Hunter Wilds has just unleashed its anniversary event, which means I've got some quests to do there... as well as take on the last added monster variant for the base game: Arch-Tempered Arkveld. I still have yet to craft every armor and every weapon for the 5 types I use, so I've got work to do there anyways...

TOO MANY GAMES TO CATCH UP ON AAAAHHHHH

Party Animals' Year of the Horse event is going smoothly, should have that battle pass done by the end.

I got caught up on Warframe's Nightwaves, which I'd let sit for easily a month.

Now I'm in the process of dealing with Monster Hunter Wilds' Anniversary event, and... the events now go up to 10-star! There's better chances of rare talismans from these quests, and by mid-March all the Apexes and highest-tier monsters will have a 10-star quest.

AT Arkveld is... actually not that bad, all things considered. He was easier than Gogmazios ever was, that's for sure.

I am going to continue to pace myself with Monster Hunter Wilds.

But there's one other thing I forgot to take into account:

With some of my games, I've been trying to journal my experiences with them. Right now that list is Brok, Mewgenics, the Switch version of Live a Live, Baldur's Gate 3... and the Darkest Dungeon series.

With the determination that I really prefer spiral notebooks to all others, I've had to re-scribe some of my notes. That may suck away some time from actually gaming.

OH MY GOD NOT ANOTHER ONE

I'm actually having to ease off on Party Animals. I'm almost certain to have the pass done soon and there's still two weeks, so I'm taking it easy.

Warframe, as explained in the other thread, I caught up on my Nightwaves so I don't need to be aggressive there.

Monster Hunter Wilds has been going well...

But Darktide just released a limited-time event. Rumbling Giants missions, basically a lot of Ogryns and a lot of explosives. I have a little over two weeks to do it, but it's only 10 missions so I can easily get it done and be over with it.

It's pretty much going to be a neverending stream of these types of things though, so I REALLY need to try to focus on Brok and Mewgenics soon.

So after catching up on multiple games and some measure of the rescribing of game notes (I have enough done to play Darkest Dungeon 2 again), I've done something today that I haven't done in a while.

I put on the VR headset. I think it's been like a month at least?

First was POOLS, which is basically like The Backrooms but water slides and tiles and such. Liminal spaces, I think they're called? Nice to wander, not much in the way of threats.

The other game I played today that was VR was Cosmonious High. Anyone who's familiar with Job Simulator or Vacation Simulator... same guys, very similar color palette... but this time you're an adapting space alien called a Prismi, who gains new powers when exposed to dangerous situations. And you'll need all of them to pass your classes. Still very sandbox-y for the most part, as is the standard for the company.

Which means my family will probably never want to play it. Last time I had them play VR, they insisted on something more like Arizona Sunshine.

EDIT: I've officially finished the Hoof Pass for Party Animals, so I can set that game down for a while. I will check one more time on Saturday though, see if they added anything sneaky.

And now Vermintide's gotten in on the event fun.

Their anniversary event - which includes a mission where all of the characters get absolutely stinkin' drunk and still have to fight off the Skaven - is on.

I'm going to have to deal with that and the Darktide event on the weekend, honestly.

What's been my gaming pleasure?

Aside from Cosmonious High (for which I've done the main game and am in the process of doing everything achievement-related), I've been blitzing the runs in CloverPit. I have officially cleared all Normal modes and gotten all of the Sacred Charms at least once. I now have the rest of the charms, the Hard mode runs, and the 1 billion coins achievement to worry about (for which I will be asking the Steam forums as I'll need a bit more advice on doing that one).

....although I've just learned there's a DLC coming for this. Hoo boy.

Working on putting Saryn together in Warframe, thinking to full clear every planet as well but well...I got a kuva lich I need to kick in the teeth as he's sitting his butt on Earth which has two nodes left. Also trying to raise my mastery rank to 14 or so if only to be able to use more of the wilder looking weaponry. May start looking for a casual clan so i can make Chroma but we'll see.

Other than all that I'm hoping to catch up with stuff in other games but GW2 hasn't added new content so I may just try to hunt down parts for the legendary rebreather... for the heck of it idk
