There was a little of that on FAF, but it was fortunately a pale shadow of what the turn-of-the-millennium fandom was like :3

Also what was OC ReMix like? I don't know much about it. Would I, as an original character (do not steal) get remixed if I went there :O

It was a really nice place to discuss videogame music and have some chit chat. Also find people to collab with in VGM remix albums or individual remixes themselves. I'd start to hang out there in 2010

I think the only moment I actually felt bad there was during a collab with a violinist due to what I now see as a misunderstanding. (My fault entirely, by the way. Dude was a genuine sweetheart and always poured his heart into his performance.) He had a creative idea and I was concerned about how to make it fit in a remix I thought already had too many things going on at the time. The remix eventually got done and published for the album it was meant to be featured in, people liked it, but I'm unsure if he feels the same :[. He seems to have vanished from the Internet, by the way, so even if I want to apologize to him for the 100th time, I cannot

Anyway, when emotions got intense, it was mostly over music. But overall, twas a pretty chill community, as far as I can remember :]

I am not sure what the problem was, I take it that the final remix did not include his idea as he had imagined it? But I am sure he is doing okay!

Maybe he is even super furry nowadays.

Found an old drawing. I was a still a froglet, and green

That's not Tails, and that's not Sonic. Back then, when neither me nor my friends knew what a furry was, people would take Sonic characters, recolor them, and use them as their avatars, just as a means of not showing their RL faces on the Internet. And a few would actually draw entirely original OCs, all based on the Sonic gang. I'd draw the frog. And at some point, I drew a snippet of our interactions online :]

The Tails clone is looking down into a manhole and shouting "My rotten, filled tooth, where are you??"

I believe the text on the shopwindow says "counterfeit"

Yeah, I remember back when people used to absolutely LOSE THEIR MARBLES over, say for example, mere gassy alts of art (made by the same authors of the pieces) on gallery sites and internet forums... just look at the comments of old submissions on e621, lol! Nowadays things like that get passed off as completely normal, you don't like something then you move onto something else instead of leaving mean comments. I find that evolution beautiful :3

I can actually summarize the story for y'all. This is the story about...

THE ROTTEN TOOTH.

Let's call the Sonic clone Cyan.
And the Tails clone is Orange.

The story opens in my swamp, where Cyan and I are engaged in a capoeira sparring session. Watching from the sidelines is Orange. During the commotion, I accidentally kick Orange in the face, which leads to her black, foul-smelling "pet tooth" to fall out of her mouth and land on Cyan's head. And then, a long dispute over the fate of the tooth ensues.

Orange wants it back. I want to throw it onto a roof. (Not sure if you have this over there, but that's a common superstition for luck/tooth growth in my country.) Cyan, who has the tooth, decides to keep it to sell to a candy store.

We both chase Cyan, who trips, and the tooth is accidentally dropped into a toilet in uh, nobody knows really. It popped out into reality somewhere. My brilliant idea: "Let's flush the toilet and take it from the sewers!" Orange goes: "NO! It's easier to take it here!" But it's too late, as Cyan already proceeded to flush the toilet. This is where we end up around the manhole, and that's where that drawing originates from. But the story continues, as a sewer pipe bursts, sending the tooth flying all the way to the town's reservoir tower.

Cyan and I run towards the tower and collide into a fence surrounding it. Cyan tells me only one of us can pass through the fence. "Who?" I ask. Cyan responds: "We shall see!" And then, we start another fight, throwing kicks and headbutts at each other, until I manage to land a strike at my opponent, which sends him flying against the fence. It breaks, so we both can now get the tooth. We keep beating each other up, reaching the tooth, engaging in a literal tug-of-war, pulling so hard that... the rotten tooth snaps in half.

I look at my half, thinking out loud: "Okay, fair... I'll take this with me and throw it into the roof." But Cyan, for some reason, shouts: "No, I'll do that!"

And just like that, as another ridiculous chase will inevitably take place, one big question is left to answer: will we ever know what happened to Orange? Will she eventually appear and stop them? Only time will tell.
